An urban EμV! I think it should be cute, simple to operate and small enough for its purpose… δ is a two seater, rear wheel drive urban vehicle. Form is simple, good look and built for the purpose. Layout – 1+1 or 2 seats? 1+1 layout is slimmer, better aerodynamics so could be faster. Question: do we require faster vehicles in cities? Having a passenger at the back is more distractive, than a passenger side by. So the vehicle is with the 2 seats layout. Size – Idea is to as small as possible. Why? Present day cars, nearly 3 t0 5 meters in length, usually caries only one passenger. Do we need to transport this extra mass along with the passenger? Less mass less size means less consumption of energy and less traffic congestion. This vehicle of the size - 1850 X 1500 X 1500 mm. Automation – Good to hear and the future of transportation. It could work in any situation, without any failure. Imagine a city road – shopping district for example, pedestrian could cross the road without prior warning or he / she may just pass by. Scenario is highly unpredictable. Manual driving is highly suited with proper assistances. Animated Shape Changing vehicle – Theoretically it is great idea saves space, gives multiple uses per vehicle. How to bring it to reality? All the complex mechanism behind the animation is really save space and energy? Simple form is more rigid thus more safe and comfortable.
