I love the DocWho11 version for the Bowden extruder. It's compact, light, and supports a chain. However, it didn't print out very well for me. I had an issue with the duct being too thin. It had gaps where the air would easily escape before reaching the end. Also, the fan cover where the chain connected broke inserting the first link. For the blower I was using, the upper left bolt aligned perfectly ... however, there was no matching lower right bolt. My chain puts some stress here, and I wanted it to have the bolt for support.
So, I extended the carriage a tiny bit to allow for a lower right blower bolt to be attached. I doubled the thickness of the duct (internally), but I kept the outer dimensions the same so it would fit. I also strengthened the chain mount so that it was thicker and more difficult to break. The end clamp is exactly the same as the author's clamp, and it's included here for completeness.
This is Starwhooper's chain that I use, and I know it fits thi
