I made this thing because I want to put my fan on a hinge for an easy filament change but without forgetting the dissipation.
It is compatible with cut heatsink.
It´s mounted over the heatsink not between them in order to the heatsink works correctly.
The design also covers the air flow to ensure it blows correctly to the heatsink the throat and the steper.
You don’t need extra material.
Its designed to work with the spare parts from the machine.
You need to change the screws from the extruder motor to (M3 – 28 mm)
The hinge works with (M3 – 45 mm) screws, these are the ones you take out from the extruder.
The fan is mounted with (M3 - 19mm) screws.
All of them I take it from the spare parts.
