Antler Candlestick Holder Decor

I designed these candlestick holders as décor to go with a full-size elk antler on our dining room table. I wouldn’t recommend lighting candles on these holders, due to the plastic. With that said, these turned out very elegant, yet robust for the given scale of the antlers. I would strongly recommend using a support interface material such as Support for PLA, or PETG (what I used) to make it easier to remove the supports. I’ve adjusted the support over multiple prototypes, to end up with the print profiles provided for this model. I recommend using these print profiles, since I’ve painted support exclusions on the candlestick column, at the bottom of the lower attachment pedicle. By doing this I managed to cut the support removal process from 45 minutes to15 minutes. The supports are relatively easy to remove with side cutters and needle nose pliers, especially compared to the first prototype. Just be mindful and don’t be too aggressive.
