Makes
LED Ring Holder for 80mm LED Rings.
I modified the original design for better stability ( problems with melting/collapsing PLA prints ).
- added a third mounting point
- increased the surface to allow faster cooling
- increased thickness
- added a wall that clears the X-endstop ( I had the problem that the ring collided with the endstop fixture )
Download includes two versions. One with a 3mm gap to the casing (like the original) and the other one with only a .5mm gap. I prefer the latter as it improves the sight, but the other decreases the risk of melting the material.
### Printing settings
- 0.1 layer height
- no supports
- 100% infill
### How to attach the ring holder?
You need two longer screws to attach the holder to the right side fan. You don't need a new screw for the left side, just snap it over the existing screw head.
### How to attach the LED ring?
I glued the LED ring to the bottom of the holder with silicone.
