Arm Rest | CATIA V5 | Plastic Domain Design This Arm Rest was designed in CATIA V5 using the Automotive Plastic Domain workflow. The process began with the given Class-A surface, where surface quality was checked before proceeding. A proper tooling axis was created to define the mold direction, and Class-B and Class-C surfaces were developed to achieve the required wall thickness and ensure smooth connectivity. These surfaces were then joined into a closed volume to form the final solid body. A detailed draft analysis was carried out to ensure tooling feasibility, and a parting line was defined based on the tooling axis for mold separation. This project highlights my knowledge of A-B-C surface modeling, draft analysis, parting line creation, and plastic product design standards, demonstrating my capability to design tooling-feasible interior plastic components. 🔹 Design Considerations Maintained uniform wall thickness as per plastic design rules. Applied draft angles to meet molding requirements. Ensured smooth surface transitions between Class-A, B, and C. Defined tooling axis and parting line for manufacturability. Designed with focus on ergonomics and interior trim requirements. 🔹 Skills Demonstrated A, B, and C Surface Modeling in CATIA V5 Tooling Axis Creation Draft Analysis for mold feasibility Parting Line Development Plastic Product Design Standards Automotive Interior Trim Design
