Armrest for wheelchairs

This product was created with the purpose to help people who have sufered some kind of illness that forced them to be stranded in a wheelchair.

This armrest helps the users, to not only be way more comfortable while moving in the wheelchair, but also to allow them to have the same range of mobility that they had prior to installing it.

It was also designed to be closed around the elbow, and higher in its external wall, so the arm of the user doesn't fall out of the armrest.

The armrest holds to the wheelchair with the asistance of some hook and loop straps, said straps go through the holes of the base of the product, it is designed so it can fit up to 6 straps for maximun subjection.

The estimated price for it would be around 10,5 €, including the material for the 3D printer, in our case we used PLA, the hook and loop straps and some adhesive, to hold the base and the arm rest together.
