Ascend Steering Adapter

I designed this to replace the dry locker on most ascend kayaks with the round style locker. You will need the pelican Hydryve™ steering assembly kit (Best to purchase from them direct) and then swap out the base with this one. I've included 2 styles, both will work with most boats but on my 12t because of the open storage in the hull I built a cable guard just to stop the risk of anything getting caught up in it. These are a direct bolt in and no holes need to be cut to add steering (For the tiller handle at least) The Hydryve kit comes with cables and hardware needed. Still takes a bit of planning to run the cables and have them exit the back how you like but this plate saves the worst of it. There is a built in recess to allow the use of a o ring if desired between the cable pully and the adapter plate (if you choose to run the o ring to help keep water out then id recommend a touch of grease around it before assembly and just a touch of silicone around the plate before installing.
