August Smart Lock Pro - Kwikset Insert

## Overview:

This part is an adapter for a Kwikset Deadbolt Latch to be used with the August Smart Lock Pro.

## Purpose:

~~The need for this adapter was due to the fact the provided adapter was not designed for *Left Handed* doors using Kwikset Deadbolt latches. The rotation of the deadbolt is round bit facing up when locked, and round bit facing left when unlocked. The August adapter each position to be 90°/270° out of phase, for the locked/unlocked positions.~~

I had originally thought that the August Pro was shipped with an adapter for Kwikset Locks on **Right-Handed Doors** only. This was incorrect. The proper solution is to **manually rotate** the lock (by holding the back piece by the wings and rotating the front anti-clockwise) to move the internal mechanism to the unlo
