The system uses a 28BYJ-48 5V stepper motor driven by a ULN2003 driver module.
It features an interchangeable blind piece and drive mechanism. No external limit switches or sensors are necessary, as the stepper motor’s onboard encoder reliably tracks rotations with effectively no error.
The main blind gear is designed to accommodate a 22 mm bearing. A 6 mm wire braid is used to protect the motor wiring and guide it neatly into the enclosure.
The full project based on an ESP32 will be uploaded to GitHub with the controller design and code.
