I decided to make my ‘dumb’ coffee machine a bit smarter by adding an ESP8266 relay device (Sonoff MiniR2) and water-sensor! I followed this guide by earvingad to setup the wiring and get the right sensor (XKC-Y25-NPN). To flash the device to ESPHome I recommend this guide by jpeletier.
