Automatic Can Crusher

This is a can crusher I built from 1x6 and 2x4 wood peices and a Linear Actuator. This is good for crushing cans (12oz and 16oz cans) only. It takes about 40 seconds to crush a can, not the fastest but works well. Below is the Actuator that was used.

I have added the sketchup model so you can get the measurements to build it yourself. I would love to see your builds and modifications. If enough people are interested I can build a cut sheet for the wood parts. Just let me know.

I hope to have future versions and documentation on how to add full automation to trigger the crusher when a can is placed and returns automatically to a ready to accept a can state.
