Automatic Latch for confined space

This latch was created for a specific need. We installed a Middle Atlantic wall rack for AV equipment in a very small room at a restaurant. Due to the proximity to the sprinkler system and all of the panels already installed, the wall rack had to go closed to the perpendicular wall than normal. This blocked the access space to the latch that holds the rack closed. Normally the gap is large enough to get your hand in there to operate the latch and the key. The space provided this time was 25.04mm. This latch design fits in that space and latches automatically when the wall rack is returned to its closed position. The “Latch Body” holes are specific to a Middle Atlantic CWR-26-26PD wall rack enclosure. I utilized the existing door hinge holes for the optional front door.
