Automatic solar panel cleaner

This project involves the design and development of an Automatic Solar Panel Cleaner, incorporating a single input shaft powered by a motor and a two-stage gear system. The system is equipped with both a rotating brush and drive wheels, optimized for effective cleaning and mobility. The brush operates at 300 RPM, while the wheels rotate at 50 RPM, ensuring thorough yet controlled cleaning across the solar panel surface. While some standard components such as the motor and safety mechanism were sourced from the GrabCAD community, all gearbox components, the brush mechanism, and the protective casing have been independently designed and modeled by me. All shafts and gears have been meticulously designed and analyzed based on fatigue and stress calculations to ensure mechanical durability and long-term performance. This project reflects a practical approach to renewable energy maintenance by integrating mechanical design with real-world application needs.
