This project was made to take any camera and make it capable of autonomously tracking a subject of interest (a cheaper version of "Soloshot Robot Cameraman").
This is accomplished through GPS data and a calculated compass heading (no affordable compass module could be found that would reliably work). The current build requires stable internet connection for a mobile device and Arduino r4. The camera heading is controlled by an Arduino, which connects to a mobile device through the Arduino cloud to track the user.
Currently, successful testing has been done in a yard. Future work and testing is still needed to be operational as intended to film a subject while surfing. Although in theory it should work if the subject had a smart watch to connect.
