This is a calibration test for all printers. Thus, you can adjust your printer's parameters.
Advantages of this new model are :
✅ printing is faster
✅ it requires less plastics than the calibration cube.
➡ Here are the measurements of the axis:
X : 40 mm
Y : 40 mm
Z : 20 mm
After printing, you can do the following calculations :
d = desired measure (x = 40 mm; y = 40 mm; z = 20 mm)
a = axis measurement
s = actual step value
➡ New step value = d / a * s
Example:
d = 40 mm
a = 39.8 mm
s = 100.00
40 / 39.8 * 100.00 = ~100.50
Now, print it !
➡ Update:
There is a new model that avoid the 'rounded corner' problem.
