๐น GrabCAD Project Description Automotive Plastic Trim Part | CATIA V5 | Plastic Domain This model was designed in CATIA V5 using Automotive Plastic Domain methodology. The complete workflow from Class-A surface to final solid was followed, ensuring manufacturability and industry-standard design practices. ๐น Workflow / Creation Process: Class-A Surface: Imported given Class-A surface and performed quality checks. Ensured surface continuity and smoothness for design readiness. Class-B Surface: Generated Class-B surface by offsetting Class-A with plastic wall thickness. Applied required fillets and engineering features. Class-C Surface: Created Class-C surface to connect Class-A and Class-B. Maintained tangency and smooth transitions. Final Join & Solid Body: Joined A, B, and C surfaces to form a closed volume. Converted into solid body for validation. Draft Analysis: Performed draft analysis to check tooling feasibility. Ensured proper draft angles for molding. Parting Line & Tooling Axis: Defined parting line based on draft analysis. Created tooling axis for mold design considerations. Locators & Engineering Features: Added locators for assembly and proper positioning. Ensured design is suitable for automotive trim applications.
