Baluster Paint Mask (.75")

I needed to paint the railing on my deck, and there are over 300 .75" anodized aluminum balusters in it. I did not want to tape them all top and bottom, so I designed this Thing to snap onto a .75" diameter aluminum baluster and cover the first 2" or so, and printed about 20 of them. See pics for usage. It saved a lot of time and tape and aggravation. They just snap on, and if you get too much paint on them, they wipe off easy with a damp cloth. This will fit most standard .75" aluminum balusters. This version is a slight tweak over the original, I slimmed the end that goes against the rail and added ridges to the tabs for easier gripping.

A friend like them so much, I printed a custom sized set for his rails, and I figured others might find the design useful, so I uploaded here. I have also included the Sketchup file, so that you can modify the size if needed, although, scaling on your slicer can achieve the same thing.
