1-Nov-2025 - Updated profile to optimise printingA1 Side Cable TamerThe A1’s side cable always bugged me — at the lowest X‑axis position it flares out, rubbing or snagging on anything beside it. I wanted to put my filament dryer next to the printer to save desk space, so I designed this cable tamer to keep the cable tucked neatly in line with the X‑axis motor. It also helps if you want the printer closer to a wall or in a corner.I couldn’t find any designs that solved this, so it was a good excuse to learn Fusion 360 and make my own. In the photos you’ll see the cable with and without the tamer, plus a shot at full height to show it still moves freely.PrintingPrinted in PLA+ on a BIQU Panda CryoGrip plateOn the OEM Bambu textured PEI plate, thin parts may lift — enable brims, and a bit of glue if neededMinimal supports required; they pop off easilyClean bed + run a leveling calibration for best resultsFit & UseSnaps securely into the two side holes at the bottom of the A1 pillarsTested
