Stitch, originally Experiment 626, is a fictional character, the protagonist of the film Lilo & Stitch and its franchise, which includes the sequels Stitch the Movie, Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch, and Leroy & Stitch, the television series Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Stitch!, and Stitch & Ai, and a live-action adaptation.

Originally created to wreak havoc across the galaxy, he was an amalgamation of various alien races to create the ultimate weapon. He is characterized by his bad temper and mischievous behavior, traits that led him to mock and heroically escape the Galactic Guard, who would have entrusted him to exile on a rogue asteroid. He ends up on Earth and is hit by drivers who mistake him for some strange breed of dog. He is taken to the pound where his future best friend, Lilo, adopts him as her "dog."
