Bebop 2 Akku Mod

I was not really happy with the origial battery from the Bebop 2. After a few charges you can notice that the capacity is dropping. I replaced the original LiPo with 3 times 21700 LiIo batterys. To fit the cover I made a cut out and closed it with the printed part.

I used Samsung INR21700-40T 4000mAh 35A LiIon Akku. The tested flight time are 21 minutes. Unfortunately the Bebop electronic is shuting down at 3,5 Volts. Actually this will safe the lifetime from the battery too. From 3,5 Volt to full charge at 4,2 Volt the amount was 2700 mA.

One big different is also that the last 10% are dropping down at the same speed as for e.g 100 to 90%.


For charging I use the IMAX B6AC V2 with an adapter cable to connect to the original port. Recommanded from Samsung is 0,5C means 2000 mA.

The weight incrases about 70 gramms but I did not saw any influence during the flight.
