Its a Clip, 8mm opening size. The screw closes another 8mm so the minimal space is 4 mm. so it will hold anything between 8mm to 4mm width.
The clip is 20X20X14 and in the way i posted you don't need supports and it will be strong.
i have tested it in PETG and it hold.
