I was tired of the bed on my Anycubic I3 Mega Ultrabase taking a half hour to warm up, so, I performed the mosfet install. That helped, but it still took over 20 minutes from room temp to 95 c for my PETG.....
..... so, I made this.
It is designed to cover my 210 x 210 mm bed. It covers about 95% of it.
You can use any kind of material you wish, as long as it's not of the flammable nature.
I'm using a cloth embedded aluminum heat barrier cloth that I just happen to have a huge roll of.
** Aluminum is one of the best materials for a radiant heat barrier. When this is on my bed and the bed is at 95 c I can barely feel the heat with my hand an inch away. Remove the barrier and see how much you feel. This reflects the heat right back into the bed. **
All I did was cut the fabric larger than the frame and fold it over and tape it. I do have the fabric double layered.
Just set it on the bed when you start the print, but be careful, it heats up really fast.
