Bee hive ant moat / trap by ESF
Avoid ants terrorising your bee hive.
Use a moat!

Goal: to be printed thin and small (as you may need a lot of them)

cup to be filled with oil or water, lid to avoid pollution
bee hive load is transferred by hanger bolt
used a hanger bolt M8x70
level the lid by use of a thin nut or raise the centre cylinder (red)
(on windy locations maybe use a 2nd nut on top of the lit. I didn't use the 2nd nut for an easier re-fill)

Drill four shallow small holes in your hive bottom frame to rest over the tips. In softer wood you may press the hive on the sharp tips.
