Sometimes bees appear dead, but they are in fact just tired and dehydrated.
You can revive them by giving them a solution of sugar water.
"To create this energy drink for bees to revive tired bees, The RSPB suggest mixing two tablespoons of white, granulated sugar with one tablespoon of water, and placing the mix on a plate or spoon. Do not add any more water otherwise the bee could drown."

You can prepare a beefree hydrator with sugar solution and cover it with cling film (sandwich wrap) to carry in your pocket or bag, ready to revive a poor thirsty bee if you happen to come across one.
The design of the hydrator includes a ramp to make it easier to slide under a bee
