Beholder Sliced

First mad props for the model maker on this model, it's awesome modeling work.

I just wanted to get a better print without any issues with supports or and from other photos of people's makes of the two halves it didn't look like they went together cleanly as there was a lot of gap filling.

The other version of this model that has supports the two times I tried scaling it up 130% the print would die on me at the same spot about 20% of the way up and send the print head all the way to the right and leave everything running so it didn't crash, it just went weird. Without scaling it printed fully but the quality left a bit to be desired.

I took the original high res awesome model into Studio Max and sliced it in a way that both halves can be laid flat on the bed and printed.

The top half does require supports and a raft is recommended IMO unless your supports are rock solid when sticking to your bed. The bottom half does not require any supports or a raft.
