Benchy Bottle Cap – A functional remix to bring the legendary 3D Benchy into everyday life For the MakerWorld 3D Benchy contest, I wanted to give a fresh, functional twist to the iconic model—without altering its classic design. The result is Benchy Bottle Cap, a stylish and practical bottle stopper for wine or cocktails! The idea behind the project is to repurpose the Benchy into something useful and always visible in daily life—so it can be celebrated every day, not just as a test print, but as a functional object. The design is simple, tested, and already optimized for standard bottle sizes. Current Print Recommendations: ✔️ TPU is recommended for good grip and a snug fit on most bottles. ✔️ The original Benchy shape remains untouched—pure nostalgia with added purpose! Upcoming Upgrades: I’m currently working on a modular version, where the part that fits into the bottle will be printed separately in TPU, allowing the Benchy itself to be printed in your material of choice (like PETG or PLA). This will also allow interchangeable TPU inserts in different sizes for a more universal fit. 👉 As soon as they’re ready, I’ll publish the upgrades under this same model entry.
