Benzyne (C₆H₄) is not a stable compound but rather a highly reactive and short-lived intermediate in certain organic reactions, particularly nucleophilic aromatic substitutions. It is characterized by a benzene ring that contains a formal triple bond. This "triple bond" is highly strained because, unlike the linear geometry of typical alkynes, the carbons in the benzyne ring are part of a hexagonal structure. Benzyne is too reactive to be isolated but its existence is inferred from trapping experiments and isotopic labeling studies. It readily reacts with nucleophiles or dienes. The formation of a benzyne intermediate allows for substitution reactions on aromatic rings that would otherwise be difficult to achieve. It will make the broken part even stronger.I decided to go with the ball-and-stick type, as it is eas
