I present to you my ‘Between Stud Shelf Brackets’. Each bracket can be secured to a stud from the front or the side depending on what is easier for the particular project. Holes have a built in countersink so screws will fit flush. There is a built in ‘bumper’ slot which will fit a thin board, approximately 6mm in thickness. There are three different brackets.First is a standard bracket to be used where there are no obstructions between the studs. They will conform to the shape of the stud.Second is a ‘with wires’ option. This was designed with romex wire in mind. If you have electrical or other wire running the length of a give stud, said wire should fit snuggly behind the bracket. Additional studs are built in to help with separation AND to ensure you don't accidentally drill through a wire during installation.Third, if you have a need for a bumper, to simply keep something more secure on an already installed shelf, this option is provided in the same form factor as the others.Note, all stl's are for the ‘right’ stud. In your slicer, simply mirror the model across the X access to print the ‘left’ variant. The 3mf file has the mirroring done already. These require no supports and likely don't need to be too heavy duty, but that will depend on what you plan to store between your studs. Hopefully someone else can make good use of these.
