Billard Ball Drilling Jig

If you find yourself needing to drill a straight hole in a billard (pool) ball, this is the tool for you. I am adding the billard balls to the shifter levers of my mighty Wheel Horse tractor and designed the tool(s) for this purpose.

The BallJig is the bottom, and is fastened to a piece of scrap wood. The small hole on the bottom allows you to align a 1/8" drill bit with what will be the center of the jig and clamp it into place. Install the ball you want drilled into BallJigTop, with the number centered in the hole, and push it into the base. You are now ready to drill a nice straight hole in the billard ball so that it can be threaded of have a threaded insert installed.
