There's a ledge around the outside, separate from the main feeder section, that allows birds to have somewhere to stand without standing in the food itself. The ‘Spacer cap’ and ‘Spacer Screw’ allow you to adjust the angle of the feeder, useful for when the rail it's being hung on isn't flush with the wall piece it leans on. The hangers and spacer screw are intentionally tight fits, and can be fixed more firmly with glue or 5 M4 screws.
