Bird Shower Perch

So this thing came about because my girlfriend got a sweet little Monk Parakeet, and we found that he really likes the little steam bath he gets by hanging out in the shower with her. These two brackets combine with a bit of rod cut from a plastic clothes hanger to make a perch which we stuck to the tile with some command strips.

I can't say I've ever paid attention to the cross sectional dimensions when shopping for plastic clothes hangers before, so I've uploaded the schematic with dimensions given. I imagine it must be pretty close to every other cheap plastic hanger in the world.

The rod fits in the oval sockets nice and tightly (and the holes are blind, so you don't have to worry about cutting the rod super cleanly), but just to be safe I added a few drops of cyanoacrylate glue.
