Here is an OpenSCAD version of my blade guards for your kitchen knives, designed to be printed in spiral (vase) mode to save material and provide durability. Blade guards are great for protecting edges from dulling when placed in a cutlery drawer, protect hands and fingers, and take up less space than a traditional knife block. Here are some key printing instructions:Material: Ideally food-safe, PLA and PETG are both suitable.Print mode: Spiral (vase) mode Supports: Use at least a 4mm brim and this will ensure upright printing, no other supports required. The brim also can be used to keep the guard upright if you are arranging them in a drawer. If you're not planning to do this, then you can remove the brim after printing.Checking your size: To match your knife, measure your knife and then add ~10% for safety. For example, most 20cm cook's knives would fit a 220mm length by 50mm depth guard (as pictured on my janky old printer - my P1S was busy). Happy printing, and good cooking
