BLDC VAWT

A vertical axis wind turbine designed for a 2208 BLDC Gimbal motor that is used as a generator. It starts to spin in approx. 3 m/s wind. It has a diameter of 150 mm and a height of 180 mm. The collet is sized to fit in a 1" EMT conduit tube. The halves of the turbine are joined together using epoxy and 2" lengths of 3/16" wooden dowels. The motor attaches to the base with (Qty 4) M3 x 8mm long machine screws, and the turbine attaches with (Qty 3) M2 x 8mm long machine screws. The lower turbine section is 80mm tall and the upper turbine section is 100mm tall. In this example, I changed the filament color 16mm before the print was completed.
