"Its a Boglith Lurker, halt!!!!!" -- the last words heard by his fellow party members before falling prey to the gigantic Boglith Lurker. This monster is a bit of an odd one. It lurks close to where territorial and vicious monsters make their lair. The Boglith is a slow moving creature, but can generate bursts of speed when threatened or when chasing injured or slow prey. One thing that makes it unique is its ability to dig backwards unto walls and cover an entire door with its mouth. When it senses that potential prey is close such as a party fleeing from a creature's lair, it opens its doors and releases a gas which confuses potential prey into thinking they are going into a safe exit or a means of escape. When it recognizes that prey have passed through the doorway, it shuts the door so tight that not even the strongest warriors can break free. Victims
