EDIT:
Just released this design - currently working on an extended version with a better part cooling duct with a 50mm radial fan. Will release the new version over the weekend.
General:
Extruder mount for Bondtech BMG + E3D v6. Made to be mounted on an aluminium bracket (linear rail). Open to any printer brand. I've included the CAD-files, feel free to modify it to your printer. This very version is made for MK10-extruder from Creality and it uses the stock fans.
Yes, the silicone sock is mounted backwards, this was intentional to further insulate the mount from the hotend.
Overview:
Clamshell design, everything integrated. Wanted to have a small mount that takes only very little space, that is easy to print and easy to assemble. No problems with alignment, stability and positional accuracy. I also was aiming for maximum clearance between the heating block and the mount (for visibility and thermal insulation) and for a good, directed airflow around the cooling fins. Took me
