I saw Tighskin's mount design for the original Quest on a SteveKnows video and thought it was pretty cool. Steve shows it on a Quest 2 so I tried printing it. Unfortunately the fit was very loose and didn't feel secure. I really didn't want to alter the design and reprint the whole thing and I set about creating an adapter.
In my original design, I tried to accommodate the small triangular supports in the mount. But it impinged into the area of the Quest 2's arms and I felt it would put unnecessary pressure on them.
To install this, you will have to remove all but the last triangular supports. The last one (closest to the ear cups) is needed to properly position the adapter. Remove the supports, then place the rear of the adapter flush against the last support.
