Boomerang

This design for righthanders has gone thru several revisions. I tried to design one with good flying characteristics that had a flat bottom so no bending would be required, but this design flew the best. The first ones were done in PLA and they broke after just a few throws. TPU was too flexible. PETg works well - none broken so far. It is printed in one piece and so requires a table similar to a CR10 or Tevo Tornado.

It is drawn with totally a flat bottom so is easy to print. No support is required. The leading edge starts at a 45 deg angle, so it should be sanded a little after printing to round it some. I printed mine at 40% infill and 3 layers of .2mm. Its probably not too fussy about this, but small changes can be surprising.

Unfortunately this design requires that the angle of attack at the last three inches of each wing be increased. The deflection is .1 inches and starts 3 inches from the tip. Fortunately it is easy to do. I laid the boomerang on a work bench with a litt
