I bought a couple of Bora Speedhorses last week and tried to use the feature where you add lumber to the top and sides of the sawhorses to create a material support. I immediately came across two issues with this. The big one was that the Speedhorse is designed for USA 4x2 lumber, which isn't available in Australia. We use metric lumber, which is typically either 35x70mm or 35x90mm, neither of which can be used on the Speedhorse so that the sides and tops line up.
The second issue was that with the lumber on top of the speedhorse, it's impossible to grip the sawhorse one-handed with the inbuilt grip handles. So I chose to leave a gap, which set me thinking about creating this handle to make it easier to carry the things around. I used 35x90mm lumber for the tops, which is what these handles are designed to fit. I can also make some to fit 35x70mm lumber, if anyone is interested. I may add these later anyway.
I've addressed the first issue with a metric adapter, also on Thingivers
