##DIY Bottle Rocket for Kids – Easy Hardware Store & 3D-Printed Build
I built this bottle rocket for my godchildren using easily accessible materials from a hardware store and a few simple 3D-printed parts. It's a fun and educational project that combines physics, engineering, and outdoor fun!
####Parts List
You’ll need the following components:
- 2x Gardena 2917-20 (hose connector)
- 1x VARIOSAN 17857 (brass coupling)
- 1x Reinforced hose (3/4" nut x 3/4" nut with bow)
- 1x 1-liter cola bottle (rocket body)
- 10x Screws
- ~10m Cord (for launch mechanism)
- ~40x40 cm Fabric (for parachute)
- ~50x30 cm board
####3D Printing & Assembly Recommendations
For best durability and performance, use the following materials and techniques:
- Fins ("BottleRocketWings.3mf") → Print in TPU (PLA is too brittle and will break upon landing).
- Gardena Adapter ("BottleRocketGardena.3mf") → Print in ASA or PETG (PLA can't withstand high pressure).
- Gardena Adapter ("BottleRocketGardena.3mf") →
