Box + Lid For A Granny Cube

Here are the files for a container and lid, which you can use to make your own 10 x 10 x 10 cm granny cube.

Container.stl: This is the cube with an open top and holes around the rim.
Lid.stl: This is the square lid with holes around the edge.

I have made this 2mm thick because anything thinner than this and the plastic surrounding the holes is too fragile and breaks easily when crocheting through them.

If your granny squares are smaller, you could scale this box down but be very careful when working your yarn through the holes.

The biggest hook I can fit through these holes comfortably is a 3mm hook.

Here’s how you make it:
• Make 6 granny squares and get them as close to 10 x 10 cm as you can.
• Stitch them together however you like to get the shape of the cover for the container, then attach them to the container using the holes on the top rim.
• Stitch another square onto the lid using the holes.
• Stitch the lid to one of the top edges.

You should have a granny cube.
