Braille Label System - Reusable & Modular

Overview

This system is designed to create reusable, modular braille labels for miscellaneous uses.

Each label is made up of three main parts: the holder, the end cap, and the chips. The chips, colored white, each represent an individual braille character, with a notch in the top right corner to aid in orientation. They can be inserted into the holder, colored dark grey, to form any desired message. The chip set included in the files contains the full English alphabet, characters to denote numbers and capital letters, basic punctuation, a blank tile, and a full tile to create additional chips. After the chips have been arranged into the desired message, the end cap can be fitted to lock the chips in place, as shown in the above images.

The holder in its base form can accommodate six chips, or characters, per line, with two lines. Optionally, if extra space is desired, an extension plate can be fitted to the holder, increasing each line's capacity by six characters per extension. Th
