Brake Post Housing Guide

I have an early 90s GT Timberline that has the u-brake posts. I didn’t want to remove them when I converted the bike to disc brake in case I wanted the ability to mount something to them. I also wanted to preserve as much of the paint as I could and so I came up with this housing guide that slides over the brake post.

I printed this with PETG and printed it 100% infill. I also used supports. You can hold it in place with a brake post bolt. I prefer the shouldered brake bolts for this but a regular bolt with a washer will be fine too.
