Waterdrop Valve Insert

Use case: You replaced your old Brita jug for a newer model and discovered that your remaining filters are useless in the new model: They fit in, but don't let any water through.
That's because the new jug generation has been "updraded" with a "flow restrictor" (AKA a trick to force you into buying proprietary filters)
Look at the bottom of the new and old cartridges and you'll see a difference.

The little gadget here is meant to mimic that extra bit that has been added to the new cartridges. You just need to insert this piece like a key into the flow restrictor space. Don't force it in, just fiddle a bit with the slotted part facing frontward.

You my find this object on the market for a scandalous price, or sometimes included with some set of universal cartridges. This one is free and printed in 15 minutes.

I recommend printing this upside down, in fine settings and with support ("tree" support is easier to remove from the final printout)
