If the shoe fits, wear it! Well, not exactly... This shoe fits but does not exactly function as practical street wear. "Build-A-Loafer" was designed and inspired by the Munro 'Veranda' shoe as well as my love for Legos. I wanted to create something that could be printed in multiple parts and then built by anyone, taken apart, and rebuilt all over again!
Print orientation is tricky with certain pieces but there are a few ways of printing each piece. Here's how I printed some of them:
MAIN BODY prints best when the four front tabs are oriented flat on the bottom of the print bed and the rest of the structure is held by supports.
HEEL prints best when the part that connects with the sole is flat on the print bed. Some supports were helpful.
SOLE was printed with supports in the same orientation as it appears in the final shoe.
I used inches in my Fusion 360 rendering so when I pulled the files into the printer, I clicked "mm-->inch" and the prints fit my foot (women's 8.5
