It turns your 3D printer into part of the experience, not just the starting point. Print the parts. Lay them out on the table. Hand your kid or grandkid the screwdriver. Start assembling. As you build, you’re not just tightening screws — you’re teaching patience, sequencing, mechanical thinking, and problem-solving. Kids learn how parts fit together, how threads work, how to follow steps, and how to fix something if it doesn’t go together perfectly the first time. The finished engine is fun to play with. But the time spent building it together is the real goal. That’s what this design is about. I already have designed multiple Train Cars to go along with this train.
