Bust – Erik Satie This bust represents Erik Satie, a major French composer from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, renowned for his unique, minimalist style that deliberately broke away from the academic conventions of his time. Erik Satie is best known for works such as the Gymnopédies and Gnossiennes, whose stripped-down and timeless character had a profound influence on later composers, including Debussy and Ravel. This bust was inspired by his most famous portrait, with particular attention given to facial proportions and his distinctive features. The sculptural approach is intentionally sober, featuring strong volumes and simplified forms, echoing the aesthetic of classical busts while remaining clear and readable as a sculpture. Please note that the glasses are very fragile. It is strongly recommended to scale the model up as much as possible or to favor resin printing for better results. However, if the glasses happen to break during printing or handling (as it did for me), it will hardly be noticeable—just like on my photos 😉 A refined piece for enthusiasts of classical music, cultural history, and sculptural art, perfectly suited to complement a collection dedicated to the great composers who shaped music history. 🎼
