C Clip / Spacer

We added a soap dispenser to the sink, but it always pumped too much soap.

I designed a clip that fits around the shaft to reduce travel. I printed it in a couple of different heights. I wasn't sure which size would work, and I wanted to be able to change it easily when we used different soap.

I printed this model in 3 heights: 2mm, 4mm, 8mm. In the picture, I installed the 8mm and 2mm clips.

The inner diameter is 25mm, with an outer diameter of 31mm. The soap dispenser shaft is 1in, so 25mm is a snug fit. The handle is 10mm long. I preferred the look of an 8mm handle, but it was was harder for me to get a grip on it after installation.

This should work for anything you need to shorten the travel on. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but I know I've seen spacers like this elsewhere. If you have any creative uses, I'd love to see them.
