C1 Ariete

History: Its arrival later than expected, the Ariete is nonetheless Italy's take on a modern-day main battle tank. Similar to MBTs of its age, the Ariete features the latest in military technology- computerized firing systems, gun stabilizers, and weather sensors for on-the-move engagement in all conditions. Despite its relatively weak armor and lack of blowout panels for crew protection, the Ariete remains solidified as a common standard for NATO tanks and one of the centerpieces of NATO armored divisions. Yet to see combat.
