I had a problem - people at the office kept taking my HDMI cable when I'm not there - so I looked for an over the top, silly - and somewhat passive-aggressive way to solve the problem and came up with this cable lock.

This lock is fake, you can open it by pulling the shackle part outward.

If you need something secure you can print just the cableholder and deskconnector parts and use any small padlock.

This holds a cable up to 8mm in diameter but it's pretty difficult to get the cable into the holder, it's easier with thinner cables and is still secure as long as the connector at the end of the cable doesn't fit in a 8mm hole

The hole in the cableholder part is a bit too small, you can file the edge off the lockbridge until it fits (that's what I did) of print the cableholder a bit larger in the Z dimension - I'm not going to fix the files because I've spent too much time on this already.
